PARKS APPRECIATION DAY Saturday, April 27, 2019 9:00am-12:00pm Join   your   friends   at   the   Key   Peninsula   Civic   Center   for Parks Appreciation Day!  Be   part   of   a   major   countywide   effort   with   nearly   2,000 other   people   working   in   their   local   parks   at   the   same time.  There   is   no   need   to   pre-register.   Just   simply   show   up   at the   Civic   Center,   check   in   with   the   site   leader   (James)   and start    working.    Come    prepared    with    gloves,    trimmers, rakes,   yard   tools   and   appropriate   clothing   to   cut,   pull, plant   and   haul   during   the   three   hour   time   frame   (9:00am- 12:00pm).

Fair

  

hosts  

a  

wide  

variety

of  

local  

resource  

and  

service  

organizations,  

all  

of  

which  

exist  

to

make  

our  

lives  

here  

on  

the  

KP  

healthier  

and  

happier,  

and  

to

help bring us together as a community.

Inside:    

Dozens    

of    

exhibitors    

will    

share    

resources    

and

information   

about   

services   

and   

activities   

they   

offer   

to   

our

community.  

  

On  

stage  

in  

the  

gym  

throughout  

the  

day  

there  

will

be  

music  

provided  

by  

the  

Bluegrass  

Minstrels  

and  

local  

youth

performances from KP Middle School and Vaughn Elementary.

Key   

Peninsula   

Library   

Services   

bring   

their

“Imagination  

Playground”  

(an  

innovative  

playground  

equipment

system     

that     

encourages     

learning,     

social     

development,

movement,  

and  

fun)  

and  

Bookmobile.  

Cascade  

Blood  

Services

will  

be  

present  

with  

its  

Bloodmobile.  

  

KP  

Fire  

will  

also  

be  

on  

site

hosting their popular Touch a Truck!

Not

the  

Key  

Peninsula  

Historical  

Society

 

open  

house  

during  

the  

hours  

of  

the  

fair  

and  

its  

“Cackleberries,

Humbleberries & Hooch” exhibit.

Last

Society  

will  

hold

their annual, well anticipated, Mother’s Day plant sale.
