Clogging classes Clogging classes are offered at the civic center through Rhythm-n-Shoes Puget Sound Cloggers, a not-for-profit organization created in 1994 to share and promote traditional and contemporary clogging. Clogging is a popular percussive dance similar to tap dance and Irish step dancing. Contemporary percussion clogging involves all of the dancers dancing the same steps at the same time, usually cued, to a wide variety of upbeat music, including bluegrass, country, pop, rap and just about anything with a downbeat. Classes are taught by Mike and Watona Williams, who have been clogging for many years. |
