A New Era for Skate Night

11/21/2019

After more than six months of searching and interviews with many great candidates, the Key Peninsula Civic Center Association is excited to announce that Vivian Gonzales will be taking charge of the Skate Night program in 2020.

We are so grateful to the Miller Family - Kip, Jennifer, and Bryce - for their dedication to Skate Night over the last two decades. It's no small job to entertain and feed 100-150 kids every Friday night! The Millers' efforts have made a big impact on our community, assuring a safe local place for youth to have fun and develop friendships that last a lifetime.

Through the rest of 2019 Vivian will be working closely with our departing Manager, Kip, to assure a smooth transition of leadership.

Please join us in welcoming Vivian!

New ADA Accessible Lift at Key Peninsula Civic Center!

10/29/2019

The Key Peninsula Civic Center is a space meant to be accessible to every member of the Key Peninsula Community. Over the last year we've been hard at work making our Gymnasium easier to access for those who have mobility challenges.
We're excited to announce that the new ADA Accessible Lift is now up and running. The project was funded by the Key Peninsula Civic Center Association and a generous grant from Pierce County.
KP community members Frank Garratt and Ed Taylor assisted in testing the lift, under the close watch of Board of Directors President, Tim Kezele and Caretaker, James Allyn.
We hope that this addition to our beloved historical facility will encourage even more folks on the KP to attend community events, making this an even better place to live!

Please join us for a FREE THANK YOU BREAKFAST!

We at the Key Peninsula Civic Center Association are humbled by the generosity of our community. We are deeply grateful to the many, MANY individuals and organizations that contribute time, effort, and money to ensure the continued success of this beloved historical facility.

To express our thanks, we’re hosting a FREE COMMUNITY BREAKFAST on Saturday, June 29th from 9am-11am.

This is just one small way that we can give back to those who have given so much. Plus, we get to try out the new stove just installed in our commercial kitchen and give the community a chance to see all of the improvements we’ve been working so hard on this year!
