The primary focus of KP Emergency Preparedness is to share information to Key Peninsula and Herron Island residents, property owners, and those who work here; and to continue to develop plans and support systems.
The Civic Center also operates as a warming and cooling day shelter in extreme temperatures. The shelter is planned to be operating when projected temperatures are either over 95 degrees or under 35 degrees for two or more consecutive days. Information will be posted to the public when the day shelter is operating.
KPCC Emergency Preparedness classes are FREE and open to the community! We encourage you to join us if you would like to learn more about emergency preparedness topics for yourself, your family, and/or your local neighborhood. - E-Prep classes will be held January through October.
