​The primary focus of KP Emergency Preparedness is to share information to Key Peninsula and Herron Island residents, property owners, and those who work here; and to continue to develop plans and support systems. 

​Monthly meetings are on the third Thursday
​at 7pm in the Whitmore Room of the Civic Center.

PLEASE NOTE: There will not be emergency prep meetings in June, July, and August 2024.  We will resume the monthly meetings on September 19, 2024.

The Civic Center also operates as a warming and cooling day shelter in extreme temperatures.  The shelter is planned to be operating when projected temperatures are either over 95 degrees or under 35 degrees for two or more consecutive days.  Information will be posted to the public when the day shelter is operating.
